The production of chemical and pharmaceutical products is mostly realized through mixing process. The function of the agitator is to generate different liquid flow patterns in the mixing container, make the materials in the container carry out the main circulation, and realize the heat transfer, mass transfer, dispersion, absorption, suspension, emulsification and other processes between materials through the action of the agitator, so as to obtain the required chemical and pharmaceutical products.
The glass-lined mixing container is one of the most important products of industrial ceramic enterprises. The function of the agitator is to make two or more substances contact with each other to the maximum extent in the container, and form a full mixture within the predetermined process time, which is conducive to the specific heat, mass transfer and chemical reaction, so that the product can reach the expected yield. The correct design and selection of agitator can make the materials in the mixing vessel have a higher reaction rate (referring to the degree of change of certain substances in unit volume and unit time of the vessel, which can be calculated by reaction products).
The material mixing process is complex, and its basic function is to realize the main circulation of materials and provide the required shearing. The main body circulation and shear required for the materials in the container are different in different reaction processes. Only by selecting the appropriate agitator can the ideal mixing effect be obtained. In order to achieve the expected production purpose, the designer must pay attention to the above problems.
According to the different liquid flow patterns formed by agitators, agitators can be divided into two categories: axial flow agitators and radial flow agitators
Mixer. The liquid flow formed by the axial flow agitator is formed by the pressure difference between the upper and lower surfaces of the agitator blades, which makes the liquid flow from top to bottom or from bottom to top along the rotation axis. Paddle agitators, propelling agitators and airfoil axial flow agitators are all axial flow agitators.
The liquid flow formed by the radial flow agitator is formed by the centrifugal action of the agitator. The liquid is thrown to the container wall along the radial and circumferential directions, and then flows up or down along the wall. The impeller type agitator and anchor type (frame type) agitator are mainly radial-flow agitators. In a word, liquid mixing is to make all kinds of materials involved in mixing fully mixed. The requirements of different types of mixing process for liquid flow are different.
