Thin film evaporator is an efficient evaporation and distillation equipment that utilizes high-speed rotation to distribute liquids into uniform thin films for evaporation or distillation. It can also carry out unit operation such as deodorization, defoaming reaction, heating and cooling. It is particularly suitable for the evaporation of materials with high thermal sensitivity and high viscosity. It has the advantages of compact equipment and continuous shutdown operation.
For scraper film evaporators, the decrease in material boiling point increases the temperature difference of the same thermal medium, reduces the thickness of turbulent liquid film, and reduces thermal resistance. Meanwhile, during this process, the material walls and scaling on the heating surface are suppressed, accompanied by good heat exchange. Therefore, the total heat transfer coefficient of the scraper film evaporator is improved.
The material continuously enters the scraper thin film evaporator from the large diameter end and is accelerated by the scraper thin film to form a flowing conical thin film evaporator on the heating surface, relying on the rotor to apply centrifugal force to the material. This centrifugal force has two functions, one is perpendicular to the heating surface, and the other is oriented towards the large diameter end body, relying on these forces to generate biomass for acceleration. In addition, the incoming material ensures sufficient wetting of the heating surface, regardless of evaporation rate or feed rate. Therefore, local material overheating and thermal degradation phenomena in thin film evaporators will be reduced or completely eliminated.
